TOP REASONS I DON’T DRINK ALCOHOL

I get asked this a lot: “Do you drink?” My answer is simple - NO. It’s been seven years and I don’t regret or miss a single thing.

Not because I’m trying to be perfect. Not because I think one drink ruins everything. But because I’ve seen the impact alcohol has - on my body, my mind, my goals… and even on families. I’ve seen what it does, and that’s enough for me to know it doesn’t belong in the life I’m building.

Here are the top reasons why I don’t drink alcohol:

1. It Kills My Recovery

Training hard means my body needs every edge to rebuild stronger. Alcohol slows protein synthesis, messes with sleep quality, and delays recovery. Why would I crush myself in the gym, only to throw it away with a drink?

2. It Messes With My Sleep

Sure, alcohol might make you fall asleep faster—but it wrecks your REM and deep sleep. I don’t want to wake up groggy, sluggish, and foggy. Sleep is one of the most powerful tools for strength, focus, and fat loss - and alcohol robs me of it.

3. It Lowers My Energy & Motivation

I want to wake up ready to train, to coach, to live bold. Alcohol makes me sluggish the next day, kills my drive, and leaves me unmotivated. That’s a price I’m not willing to pay.

4. It Gets in the Way of My Goals

Whether it’s fat loss, strength, or building lean muscle—alcohol slows down progress. Empty calories, lowered performance, and poor recovery all add up. I’d rather use my nutrition to fuel growth, not setbacks.

5. I Value Clarity Over Numbness

Life’s tough sometimes. Training, coaching, business, family—there’s a lot on my plate. But I’d rather face challenges head-on, not blur them away with a drink. Clarity keeps me sharp.

6. It Doesn’t Align With the Life I Want

I want to live wild, strong, and bold. I want to wake up early, move my body, coach with energy, and push myself forward every day. Alcohol doesn’t fit that picture.

Time to Get Honest

If you’re reading this and something hits a nerve, maybe it’s time to take a closer look. Ask yourself honestly: is alcohol helping you become stronger, clearer, more alive? Or is it quietly pulling you off track? You get one body. One mind. One chance. Choose clarity. Choose strength. Choose bold.

Here’s your challenge: go 30 days without a drink. See how you feel. See how you sleep. See how your workouts, your mood, and your focus shift. It’s a simple decision. Living BOLD isn’t about doing what everyone else does, it’s about doing what’s right for you.

The Bold Bottom Line:

For me, skipping alcohol isn’t about restriction—it’s about freedom. Freedom to train hard, recover faster, sleep deeper, think clearer, and live bold. I’ve seen what alcohol can take away—and I choose not to let it. That’s my why. What’s yours?

Train Bold. Live Wild.
